We advise a minimum stay in the Hide-A-Way of 2 nights.
Then you have at least one full day to see a few beautiful parts
of the programs we offer. If you want to see it all, then 4 days
and 3 nights will be an appropriate time to stay with us.
DAY 1: leave from Bangkok in an air-conditioned sleeper
train or from Chiang Mai in a daytrain. If you start in Chiang Mai,
the program begins on day 2.
DAY 2: transfer from Ban Bin train station in a local
open taxi. After arriving in the Hide-A-Way a bungalow will be assigned
to you. After breakfast: pony cart tour to the village Saloke.
Wondering why they always go with 2 carts? The second pony is a
bit afraid of everything and won't go without the other! This is
followed by a short trekking with the local guide upstream. In the
afternoon you'll visit the beautiful 7 tier waterfall and visitor
center at Wieng Kosai National Park. In the Hide-A-Way the staff
prepares a copious diner, which will be served in the elevated and
open restaurant. From here you have a wonderful view on the tobacco
fields, the rice paddies and, of course, the jungle. After diner
you will be glad to return to your bungalow. Before you fall asleep
you can watch the programs on the satellite-tv.
DAY 3: after breakfast we make a hike of about 2 hour into
the forest to have a lunch in village style. We will cook rice in
bamboo, catch fish for the soup and find edible herbs and plants
to eat. Back in the Hide-A-Way local women will be waiting to give
you a real Saloke massage. Refresh yourself and join us for another
copious diner. Spend the night in your bungalow.
DAY 4: breakfast and time for a hike up of 2,5 hours to
a fabulous view point. Lunch about 14.00 hours (departure depends
on transport out time), check out and head to Salang temple, a mixture
of old and new. After exploring the temple and surrounding area
you can clean up in the hot mineral springs. From here it's about
10 minutes to the train station.
And at any time you are welcome to visit the kitchen and observe
how to cook Thai food.

We advise
you to buy medical and travel insurance in your home country
as it is impossible in Thailand to do that with the same
coverage.
Included: all mentioned
meals, transfers and excursions. Communication with
the local people will be limited, because of their (lack
of) English. Transport with local taxi's, air-conditioned
second class day train or night train with sleepers.
If fully booked, transport can be with airco VIP-bus
(sleeping seats and toilet).
Accommodation: comfortable fan cooled bungalows
with veranda, refrigerator, satellite tv, coffee and
tea making facilities and a separate bathroom with warm
and cold shower and toilet.
For this program you need
a good physical condition. If you are in doubt, consult
your doctor
Don't
forget to bring: protection against
mosquitoes, shoes with which you can walk in water,
a swimming suit and a good humor |
